Refund Policy

1. Overview
This Refund Policy covers purchases of Kastling's software applications, including one-time purchases, subscriptions, and in-app transactions processed through our payment platform.
A separate Refund Policy applies to Kastling's sprint-based professional Services, published at kastling.co/refund.

2. Payment processing and merchant of record
All Kastling App purchases, subscriptions, and in-app transactions are processed by our authorized payment processor acting as the merchant of record. When you purchase a Kastling App, your transaction is processed by the payment processor on Kastling's behalf. The payment processor issues your receipt, handles applicable taxes, and manages your billing.
For billing queries, invoice copies, VAT receipts, or payment method updates relating to App purchases, contact our payment processor directly using the details on your purchase receipt.
3. No refunds on digital products
All Kastling App purchases are final.
Kastling does not offer refunds on digital software products, including:
- One-time App purchases
- Subscription fees already charged (current or past billing periods)
- Lifetime access purchases
By completing an App purchase, you acknowledge and agree that:
(a) You are purchasing a digital product that is made available to you immediately upon purchase.
(b) Where applicable consumer law provides a right of withdrawal or cooling-off period for digital content, you expressly request immediate access to the App and acknowledge that this request constitutes a waiver of any applicable cooling-off right, to the extent permitted by law.
(c) This no-refund policy applies regardless of whether you have used the App, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in this Section limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction, including (where applicable) the right to a remedy for non-conforming digital content under the EU Digital Content Directive (2019/770) and the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. Where such laws apply, your statutory rights operate in addition to, and prevail over, the terms of this Refund Policy.
4. Subscription cancellations
You may cancel a Kastling App subscription at any time through your account on our payment platform or by contacting hello@kastling.co.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to the App until the period ends. Kastling does not issue pro-rata refunds for the unused portion of any subscription period.
5. Exceptions, when App refunds may be issued
Notwithstanding Section 3, Kastling may issue a refund in the following exceptional circumstances, evaluated on a case-by-case basis:
(a) Technical failure. The App is entirely non-functional on a supported device and operating system configuration, and Kastling is unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable time after being notified.
(b) Duplicate charge. A billing error results in a duplicate transaction for the same purchase.
(c) Legally required refund. A refund is required under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction that cannot be contractually waived.
Refund requests under this section must be submitted to hello@kastling.co within seven (7) days of the triggering event, with a clear description of the issue and your order reference.
6. Payment processor buyer protections
Our payment processor, acting as merchant of record, may apply its own discretionary buyer protection policies to App transactions. Kastling does not control independent refund decisions made by the payment processor. The payment processor's buyer terms will be presented to you at checkout and on your purchase receipt.
7. Waitlist signups
Joining a waitlist for a Kastling App is free and creates no payment obligation. There is nothing to refund. You may unsubscribe at any time by emailing hello@kastling.co.
